Jessica grew up in Naugatuck and is an alumna of St. Francis School of Assisi from her K-8 years. After that she attended Naugatuck High School where she played Basketball and Track & Field. On the Track & Field team she held the number one league title for two consecutive years in the discus throw. She also participated in the Junior Olympics throughout her high school years for the discus throw. She went on to attend Sacred Heart University in Fairfield where she studied English and Media Studies and graduated in 2003.
Jessica is also a big film and theatre aficionado, and especially loves the works of Shakespeare. She thoroughly enjoys teaching and loves working with children of all ages. In addition to teaching she also has worked in all areas of the Journalism field including newspaper, television, radio, and magazine. As an outdoor enthusiast she also loves snow-skiing, water-skiing, camping, biking, traveling and various other outdoor and indoor sports. She currently lives in Hamden happily with her husband, Stephen, and their dog, Layla, and she loves to spend time with her friends and family.
