Mrs. Jessica Giunta is very excited to be joining St. Timothy as the Language Arts teacher for 6th grade, a 7th grade homeroom teacher, and the 8th grade Religion teacher. Jessica grew up in Naugatuck and is an alumna of St. Francis School of Assisi from her K-8 years. After that she attended Naugatuck High School where she played Basketball and Track & Field. On the Track & Field team she held the league title for two years in the discus throw. She also participated in the Junior Olympics throughout her high school years for the discus throw. She then went on to attend Sacred Heart University in Fairfield and graduated in 2003. At Sacred Heart she studied English and Media Studies. Jessica is also a big film and theatre aficionado, and especially loves the works of Shakespeare. She thoroughly enjoys teaching and loves working with children of all ages and will be directing the drama program this year at St. Timothy. In addition to teaching she also has worked in all areas of the Journalism field including newspaper, television, radio, and magazine. Jessica hopes to bring her experience into her classroom to help the students learn and prepare them for their high school years. As an outdoor enthusiast she also loves snow-skiing, water-skiing, camping and various other outdoor and indoor sports. Jessica and her husband were recently married in June of 2007 and they currently reside in Naugatuck.
