Stephen Breen attended Catholic schools from primary grades through college. He graduated in 1978 from the College of the Holy Cross with a BA in History. He has taught Religion and US History at STMS for the past eighteen years. He had previously worked with Literacy Volunteers in the East Hartford/Manchester area. At STMS, he has co-sponsored the Social Studies Fair, moderated an after-school Board Games Club, and was a co-ordinator for the retreat program at STMS. He is a movie buff and an avid reader of mysteries as well as American History. During this past summer, he and Mrs. Breen made a cross-country trek stopping at such historical sites as Mount Rushmore, the Little Big Horn Battlefield (Custer's Last Stand), and the Praire Sod House Historical Site.
